Here we have a great specimen of Andersonite & black Uraninite in sandstone matrix from the Ambrosia Lake Mining Sub-district, McKinley County, New Mexico, USA. This specimen has platy Andersonite on both sides of the specimen. The Andersonite is quite fluorescent under all wavelengths (longwave pictured) and glows a more teal-green colour rather than the typical bright fluorescent green of other fluorescent uranium-bearing minerals.

This specimen comes in at approx. 2200cpm on an SE International Ranger EXP.
