U & Th Minerals Ordering and Sales Information

We operate in full alignment with both Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) regulations and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) guidelines to ensure that all transactions involving uranium and thorium-bearing minerals are handled safely, transparently, and responsibly. These safeguards are designed not only to protect collectors and the public, but also to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons by ensuring that minerals offered as specimens remain strictly within civilian, educational, and collector use.

A Note on Activity Level Measurements:

Activity levels are taken with a SE International Ranger EXP with the Alpha probe exposed at close to contact level on the specimen in Counts Per Minute (CPM). Results may vary depending on what instrument you are personally using.

Domestic Sales (within Canada):

Minerals offered for sale that contain uranium or thorium are classified as naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) and are offered strictly as geological specimens for educational, research, and collector purposes. All specimens remain within the exemption quantities and categories permitted under the Nuclear Substances and Radiation Devices Regulations (NSRDR). No licences or permits are required for Canadian orders, and customers may order these specimens straight through the website.

Export (outside Canada):

The export of uranium and thorium-bearing minerals is regulated by the CNSC. Shipments outside Canada are conducted only under valid CNSC export licences where required. Each export transaction is evaluated for licensing requirements, and records are maintained in accordance with CNSC regulatory guidance.
