Shop Updates
Dear Collectors,
It's been a tumultuous few weeks with everything going on, but I do have some updates.
Canada Post is now on rotating strikes. We will be opening up international shipping again, but please be aware that all international shipments can face delays due to job action and a backlog of parcels. This could last for quite a while. Canadian orders will all ship via Purolator unless it's to a P.O. box in which case Canada Post will be used. If you would like for me to ship via Canada Post instead of Purolator, please let me know when you place your order.
For international customers:
Non-export restricted materials can be ordered as usual through the shop. For radioactive minerals, Trinitite, or anything else that requires an export permit, please note the following process to place an order:
Customers must first contact us directly with the following information:
- The specimens you wish to purchase (copy & paste the url to make it easy)
- Your full name, shipping information, and contact phone number.
- Your intended end-use of the specimen (Collector, museum collection etc.)
Once confirmed, payment must be made in full, including shipping & a $5 USD processing fee.
After payment, we will apply for the required Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) export license. You will receive a copy of the license application through your e-mail for your personal records. Approval can take up to 30 business days, however is usually handled much sooner. Once approved we will ship your specimens to you. All shipments will only be through methods that have a tracking method.
Buyers are responsible for knowing their country's import laws regarding radioactive material. We are not responsible for any delays or customs seizures. No refunds will be issued in the case of a customs seizure.
And, a general note: I've pretty much reached where I want to be in my personal collection of radioactive minerals and moving my focus onto other areas. I will be downsizing my collection and only keeping the absolute best of the best, so keep an eye out for some awesome specimens popping up here over the next little while.
That's it for now. I hope everyone had a great summer and look forward to the colder months ahead.
Jay
