Baltic Amber

Amber is fossilized tree resin, formed millions of years ago when sticky resin oozed from ancient conifers and, over vast spans of geologic time, hardened and fossilized into the golden, translucent material we know today. Baltic amber specifically comes from deposits around the Baltic Sea region — primarily northern Europe, including areas of Russia, Poland, and the Baltic states — and is among the oldest and most abundant amber in the world, with most Baltic amber dating to around 44 million years old, from the Eocene epoch.

This is a small, affordable piece of genuine Baltic amber, a great inexpensive way to add a classic organic gemstone to your collection or introduce someone to the fascinating world of fossilized materials.
