Another confirmed piece of the Moon, and a scarce one — the entire known mass of NWA 13937 totals just 1000 grams across 11 fragments, purchased from a dealer in Algeria in March 2021 and formally classified in Meteoritical Bulletin 110.

This is a lunar feldspathic breccia: dark-grayish fragments with no fusion crust, composed of gabbroic and basaltic lithic clasts up to 7 mm across, set in a partly shock-melted, vesicular matrix. The mineralogy — olivine, low-calcium pyroxene, pigeonite, augite, and calcic plagioclase (up to An97) — is textbook lunar highlands material, and the rock is heavily shocked, with plagioclase partially transformed into maskelynite, a high-pressure mineral that only forms under intense impact conditions. Researchers have noted a possible pairing relationship with the NWA 8046 clan of lunar meteorites.

Classification: Lunar meteorite, feldspathic breccia
