Ex. George Kamin Collection

This stunning cut and polished section of solid Uraninite represents one of the finest examples of ore from the legendary Eldorado Mine at Port Radium. The mirror-smooth polish reveals dense, metallic black Uraninite with a silvery internal luster that speaks to its exceptional purity and grade. Specimens of this caliber were the backbone of early Canadian uranium production and remain cornerstones of both mineralogical and historical collections.

Sourced from the George Kamin Collection, this piece carries excellent provenance from one of North America’s most respected collectors of classic radioactive minerals. Kamin’s material was well known for its authenticity, quality, and traceable mine origin, making pieces like this both scientifically and historically significant.

Few Eldorado specimens display such solid Uraninite composition without veining or gangue interference. This is a museum-quality piece, suitable for institutional display or as a centerpiece in a high-end private collection.

This specimen comes from my personal collection.
