This rough uraninite specimen displays pronounced botryoidal morphology, a highly desirable growth habit characterized by rounded, grape-like surfaces formed during secondary mineralization processes. Sourced from the iconic Eldorado Mine at Port Radium, this piece retains its natural, unaltered character, making it an excellent example of in-situ uraninite growth from a world-famous uranium locality.
Botryoidal uraninite from Port Radium is increasingly difficult to obtain, particularly in well-preserved condition. This specimen is best suited for collectors with a strong interest in uranium mineralogy, historic deposits, and rare morphologies. Due to its radioactivity, this material is offered strictly for advanced collectors only with appropriate knowledge and experience.
